Reservation Policy & Terms And Conditions 2022

We understand that plans change especially given the global effects of COVID-19 and our guest’s health, safety and satisfaction is our number one priority. We’ve tried to remain as fair as possible. When you book your stay with MAOLA Perma-Boutique Hotel, the 1st night’s deposit is applied at booking but is refundable should you cancel outside of our cancellation policy.

Due to the intimate property size, cancellations have a material impact on our operations and other potential guests; therefore we are forced to adhere to our cancellation policy outlined below.

No credit or refund will be given in whole or in part for days not used resulting from late arrival or early departure.

As you plan your getaway, we remain committed in sharing up-to-date travel information, so you can stay informed. Borders are open to all countries; however, it is important to note that tourists entering Costa Rica via a flight must complete the online “Health Pass” epidemiological form and obtain travel insurance that covers COVID-19 medical expenses. Effective August 1, 2021, minors (under 18 years of age) and all fully vaccinated adults can enter Costa Rica as tourists without purchasing a travel insurance policy.  A PCR test is not required to enter the country. Learn more here.

Air passengers arriving to the US from a foreign country are required to get tested no more than 3 days before their flight departs and to provide proof of the negative result or documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 to their airline before boarding their flight. This applies to all air passengers, 2 years of age or older, traveling into the US, including US citizens and legal permanent residents. Learn more here. We have aligned with local healthcare providers, and we are pleased to provide onsite COVID-19 testing at our properties to ensure our guests can fly internationally with confidence and ease.

Rates:

Rates are subject to change without notice. A tax of 13% will be added to all nightly & package rates.

Deposit/Cancellation Policy Las Catalinas:

We understand that sometimes plans change and you may need to amend your booking, so we’ve tried to be as fair as we can when applying fees and charges.

When you book your stay with MAOLA Perma-Boutique Hotel, the 1st night’s deposit is applied at booking but is refundable should you need to cancel outside of our cancellation policy. Therefore if you’d like to cancel your entire reservation before your full and final payment is due, we will refund all of your money, including the applicable taxes, but minus an administration charge of $20.

Full and final non-refundable payment will then be due;
30 days before arrival for Green season (May 1st to Dec. 20th)
30 days before arrival for High season ( Jan 6th to Apr. 30th)
45 days before arrival for Peak season (Dec. 21st to Jan 5th)

We highly recommend purchasing travel protection insurance. Upon receipt of your payment, you will be forwarded an “e-Confirmation of Reservation” form at which time you will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.

All non-refundable promotions are non-cancelable, non-changeable, and must be paid in full at the time of booking. There are no refunds for cancellations, date changes or early departures on these promotions.

When you book your stay with Hacienda Barrigona, the 1st night’s deposit is applied at booking but is refundable should you need to cancel outside of our cancellation policy. Therefore, if you’d like to cancel your entire reservation before your full and final payment is due, we will refund all of your money, including the applicable taxes, minus an administration charge of $20.

Full and final non-refundable payment will then be due;

2021 Cancellation Policy

45 days before arrival for green season (May 1st to Dec. 20th)
60 days before arrival for high season (Jan. 6th to Apr. 30th)
120 days before arrival for peak season (Dec. 21st to Jan. 5th)

2022 Cancellation Policy

30 days before arrival for green season (May 1st to Dec. 20th)

Holiday Deposit/Cancellation Policy:

Depending upon the date of your visit, special holiday rates and minimum stay requirements will apply.

A deposit of one night’s rent plus tax (13%) is due at the time of booking. Final payment is due 120 days before arrival. For cancellations outside of 121 days, the one-night deposit is refundable. Reservations cancelled 120 days or fewer prior to arrival, will forfeit the entire lodging amount. There are no refunds for late arrivals or early departures. We highly recommend purchasing travel protection insurance. Upon receipt of your payment, you will be forwarded an “e-Confirmation of Reservation” form at which time you will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.

Go or No-show Charges:

In accordance with our cancellation policies, there will be no reimbursements for no-shows or early departures.

Privacy Statement:

MAOLA Perma-Boutique Hotel will maintain any and all information regarding our guests as private within our facility. 

Payments:

All payments are received in US DOLLARS or the equivalent in Costa Rican colons at the time of payment. Payments may be made through credit card: Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover, JCB, Diners Club, or via direct deposit or wire transfer.

Direct deposits or wire transfers must be previously arranged with our Reservation Department, and proof of bank transactions must be sent by e-mail to info@hotelmaola.com please note most banks charge a $10 – $25 wire transfer fee for international transactions. PLEASE CONSIDER THAT INTERMEDIARY BANKS MAY ALSO CHARGE A FEE. Please check with your bank at the time of making the wire to make sure your payment is received in full. Any outstanding amounts resulting from incomplete wires will be included in your account and charged at the end of your stay.

Guests who wish to pay by credit cards will need to complete, sign and send a credit card authorization form which can be requested from our reservations office. This form can be sent via email in a password protected document to info@hotelmaola.com

Arrival & Departures:

Arrival at all properties of MAOLA Perma-Boutique Hotel is from 3:00PM onwards.
A credit card will be required at check-in for all incidentals.
Departure is prior to 11:00AM

Smoking:

MAOLA Perma-Boutique Hotel is a smoke-free property.

Children:

Please note that we are an ADULTS ONLY RESORT. Children under 16 years of age are not allowed in the hotel and under 12 years of age to dine at Sentido Norte Restaurant. Due to safety regulations, exceptions are made based on children’s age and circumstances.

Pets:

No pets are permitted on the property including service animals.

Responsibility/Loss or Damage to Property:

MAOLA Perma-Boutique Hotel is not responsible for any loss of or damage to personal equipment and/or property during your stay with us, or during your participation in any of our arranged activities including but not limited to any loss or damage to vehicles or property contained within such whilst parked in or entering/leaving the premises. We will not accept any responsibility for any delay, additional expense or inconvenience, which may be caused directly or indirectly by events outside our control such as travel delays on international or domestic flights, civil disturbances, fire, flood, severe weather, acts of God, and acts of government or failure of any machinery or equipment.
